Many decades ago (at least 5) Phil Salvatori, Sr. found:
1: Blue lenses tend to depress the wearer.
2: Red lenses gave one a more cheerfull outlook.
3: Tropical fish and plants deprived of UV died.

I did find this article which claims that POTs (precision optical tints) are effective in reducing migraine symptoms:
