    Some one just shoot me!

Just got off the phone with an office that faxed an RX over. Patient is 80+ years old with serious diplopia. Rx comes in as single vision and no prism. When I called the office the 'optician' tells me they "don't write out adds and stuff you just duplicate they old measurements."

    WTF?!

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

DOUBLE BANG! Probably an M.D.'s office and neither tech nor Dr. know how to neutralize or refract - tech doesn't "do prism", and Dr. hasn't refracted in years. Doncha just luv it?

Mark the Rx you've got "expired" and tell them they have to get re-examined.

Is expiring a valid Rx bad/worse than filling an Rx online? thoughts? You should charge him for the exam as well while you're at it.

If i know that the patient is wearing prism in multifocal and RX states SV with no prism. I would gladly send this patient to your online store! I hope you have a 100% satisfaction guaranty!

That's just beyond unreasonable. I would be so tempted to go see them in person.

Its similar to when we get an Rx for one eye, and a "no change" written for the other.
