I have been away from wally world for going on 6.5 years now. Had worked with them right at 10 years. That rumor was around way back then. And still has never been truthfully answered.
I have had three confirmations in the last few years. Several years ago, Walmart made the announcement that by May 2012 all NVI stores would convert to corporate. Just over a year ago, I went into an NVI store, and they had a letter that they showed me saying that all takeovers would be completed within 18 months which lines up with the original news I was given. Then last year at SECO, an hr rep from NVI told me that May of this year was still the projected takeover date.
NVI said that our lease was up in the end of the first 1/4 of 2012. NVI said they would let us know 6mo prior to that. No company announcemnt other than a verbal w/ walmat that a future does continue yet the writtings are still in letigation.
