Stumped: Need to help a Patient

I have a patient whom is rather sensitive to light, and has an eye that is being suppressed. Minus the prognosis of the patient, I am trying to find something that will help the patient see better, and read longer, indoors and around florescent lighting. The RX is a simple single vision, nothing higher than a +3.5 and no prisms. Prisms have been tried in the past to no avail, so the doctor’s gave up on them.

Previously, I have placed the patient in slightly yellow tinted glasses with a purecoat AR, in Trivex. It worked relatively well, but the patient still has issues. I asked the patient to try wearing polarized sunglasses, that I previously made, and the patient noticed an increase in the length of reading through the day. Darkening the tint further, isn’t an option for the patient. The problem is they don’t want to wear sunglasses to work, and I’m stumped on what to do.

    Any suggestions?

Had similar problem with patient that had been in an explosion. Made dark gray polarised glasses for outside and yellow polarized glasses for inside. Patient complained at first of yellow ones but by the third day he thought they were the best thing ever invented.

We have a similar patient. Our final option for the patient was clip ons so the patient could sit at his desk and read and not really be noticed. I told him that sunglasses would be his best option if cosmetics were not an issue but some people care more about how they look than how well they see...

You can get polarized SV in Grey A, that might be an indoor solution.

Maybe I'll give the yellow polarized a try. I need to call the lab today, and find out what is available in yellow polarized. Any suggestions before I start giving them a ring? The patient loves trivex, but I'm not sure it's available.
