I am very sad...Steve Jobs is gone.

I owned Macs, Nexts, Iphones, Ipads and use Itunes.
I'll never not be a disciple.

RIP, my friend. My only wish is that we conquer the disease that took you from us all too soon.

    Barry

From ritual taught during the Freemasons third degree-

The Hour-Glass is an emblem of human life; behold! how swiftly the sands run, and how rapidly our lives are drawing to a close. We cannot, without astonishment, behold the little particles which are contained in this machine, how they pass away almost imperceptibly, and yet to our surprise, in the short space of an hour, they are all exhausted. Thus wastes man! today, he puts forth the tender leaves of hope; tomorrow, blossoms and bears his blushing honors thick upon him; the next day comes a frost, which nips the shoot, and when he thinks his greatness is still aspiring, he falls, like autumn leaves, to enrich our mother earth.

It is a sad day. He was far too young--cancer is such an ugly beast. But what a legacy! There are countless items in our everyday lives that have been designed, or at least inspired by his creative mind! Even if someone isn't a "Mac snob" (I use this as a term of endearment), so many things we use have been influenced by him. Steve Jobs will not be forgotten.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Even though I am not an Apple fan and will never own an Apple device, I applaud his vision and his innovation. I think Apple will get along without missing too many beats, due to his aquirement of a good team.

I never met Steve Jobs, I am only sad in the respect that Nicola Tesla, Voltaire, Newton and other great contributors to our knowledge are no longer here.
And no, I didn't feel a thing when Princess Dianna or any other celebrety that I never met and probably would not have paid any attention to me if we had passed.
When you mourn for those you never met, you need a life.
