I'd say that the real problem here is big, ugly eyeglass frames, not the small cut-out of a decentered, 75 mm lens blank. Some fashions from the 70s and 80s should never be allowed to come back in style, like leg warmers and parachute pants.

Daryl, you silver tongue devil, right again! Unfortunately, we do get many jobs like that and worse. Sadly, very seldom I am successful talking the ECP out of it, so we do it, all the way up to 90 mm E.D. and more.
Rule number one : The Patient is always right Rule Number two: if the patient is ever wrong refer to rule number one.. Rule number three: Optician is GOD and whatever he/she says is right.... so patient therefore becomes wrong
