Need help with Lab area organization

So that time has come i've decided to do a bit of renovation for our 'little' lab area. We only have a an edging lab and we dont do a lot of edging. But my as far the pick ups and ordred iteams are concerned how do you guys organize your lab, we've got sections of contact lenes trays, glasses trays, ordered items trays and to be picked up items.

I feel my employees are sometimes struggling to find a priticular tray, do have any suggestions of dealing with this? If you have any pics handy i would certainly apreciate it, Please also keep in mind my lab area is very small so have to use lots of shelves.

    1) Trays are color co-ordinated....different for repairs, repairs to order, complete for edging, and complete for lab.
    2) Trays are labeled/china marked with last name, first inital, and numbered if order is multiple sets.
    3) Totally different trays are used for contact lenses.
    5) Shelving is arranged in "docking" sequence. Each stack has meaning and the shelf is labelled for the purpose. Purposes may include: frames on order, parts on order, patient to be called, to be checked, to be phoned, etc.

I usually suggest the lab be organized so that work flows in circular route around the room....this way, it can be followed easily.
