    can't identify this PAL..please help.

This symbol is not listed in the PAL Identifier book or on LensGuru
    This is the symbol:

(-) it also has the letters "cdx" on the bottom nasal side of the lens. The line in the parenthesis also goes from side to side, it is not broken in the middle as shown here.

    Thank you for your help.

The stylized letter H is probably Hoya...although that hasn't been used for a while. CDX is also a configuration for their Summit CD and X usually for Trivex.

Correct. CDX is Hoya Summit CD Phoenix (Trivex). The CDX mark is shown on http://www.thelensguru.com/identifiers.php. The stylized letter H is a HOYA quality mark, but is not considered part of the identifier.

we have tried lensguru already ... we've seen it a few times and the patients who have it seem to have a really hard time adapting to other progressives but we dont know which one this is!!

    Looks like a Zygote!

On a serious note, I have seen it before, but can't remember what it was. I will check my notes and report back if I find it!

    Optical Dynamics Continual Focus lens?

(I am using the progressive identifier on Laramy-K's site and my outdated 2009 OLA identifier.)

My lens identifier agrees with Fezz, but I don't know who Optical Dynamics are to be honest.

Qspex? I have never seen their marking, but it would be my first guess.
