    Empower Lenses

Just curious about the Empower lenses. Does anyone's office have it yet, and how is the response?

We are supposed to be getting ours in November. From what I've seen so far, I'm not overly impressed. I guess I will know more after the training next month.

We have had a few patients that were excited when the docs were preselling it. Not so much when they asked how much they would cost.
A lack of planning on your part DOES NOT constitute an emergency on mine!

I've gotten to handle one for a while. The technology is pretty amazing. So is the cost.

There's something I'm still not clear on. The channel and near area (with power off) is supposed to be especially wide. Is that only because the add is reduced by .75 (therefore the same advantage in width could be achieved with any PAL by reducing the add) or is the design different in kind, made possible by the +.75 beauty spot that is going to appear?
