    Opening Rec Specs Locking Eyewire

I just found that the perfect tool for opening the locking tabs on a Rec Spec to be sizing pliers.
They compress both tabs at the same time and present almost no danger of frame damage by using a screwdriver or some other thing.

I have an old pair of end cutters I use. Works great! They're orange handled and the part # is Belzer No. 2656. They were designed to cut soft wire but I got them to cut nylor nylon. Someone cut something they shouldn't have and nicked them, so I ground the sharp edges off. They also make excellent sizing pliers.
