    question abt hourly wage at Ontario

    Hi, is there anyone here have an idea how's the hourly wage for a 2 yrs experience Licensed Optician? GTA area and out of GTA, ths

    I wonder if you have looked at the survey of Sept 2007 done by the OAC. I've posted a link, it's near the bottom of the page. I know...... it isn't hourly, but annual.

    I can tell you from experience that I lost a very good optician to a chain outlet in Toronto. They offered her $56K/yr, with benefits and 3 weeks vacation....a little to rich for my blood. Going rate in town is $22/hr. Anyone want to move to Winnipeg? ;)

    Paid by the hour....................

    On another thread on OB they fight for education paying more for an opticians job and here you talk about wages per hour.

    Only uncut has stated a salary by the year which is the proper way to treat a professional and not like a construction worker paid by the hour.

    Oh, my apologies Chris, $44K/yr. Hope this makes you feel better. BTW, Tim Horton's is paying $22K/yr for cashiers. Does this make them a profession now?
