As it can be misleading whenever one clicks on "Opthalmic Optics" and doesn't see it, I propose this section be retitled, "Lab Forum" and a separate section be created for opthalmic optics. It seems that a vast minority of posts in this particular forum has to do with actual optics and much more deal with lab issues: calibration, coating issues, blocking, laps, tools, surfacing equipment, etc............... just a thought.

It would seem natural to me to see quite a few "lab" posts here. After-all the lab is where "ophthalmic optics" are produced and experimented with, hence the term "lab".

I would hardly consider a lense blank an "ophthalmic optic", it does become one after the lab is finished with it.
