Our client, a leading provider of software solutions to the optical lab manufacturing industry throughout North America is currently seeking a systems manager/account rep in Dallas, Texas to service one of their key accounts with a large wholesale optical lab.
You will be responsible for providing daily technical support to the client's production staff in the operation of the optical software as it relates to the production process. In addition, you will maintain and support the various software interfaces to production equipment and other devices in the Lab. You will also co-ordinate the implementation of new software updates, enhancements and releases with the client's information services department and production staff, ensuring that operational downtime is minimized and effective workflow continues.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a wholesale or retail optical lab in addition to experience with lab management systems and how they interact with all aspects of lab operations as well as a strong knowledge of network administration. A strong background working with DOS and Windows operating systems as well as Novell and NT networks is required. Certification in the American Board of Optometry (ABO) or other similar organization is a definite asset.
