That's very interesting. Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of the studies a few years ago about the correlation between night lights and myopia. If you do a search you'll find just as many articles supporting it as defeating it.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
Didn't work for me......grew up in Sydney, before tv......lived outdoors.... myopia starting at age 8....ended up -7.00 OU......BUT it is the skin cancer capital.....those I got!

My "study" says it's the size of the pupil, increasing the depth of field requiring less accomodation that is causing the phenomenon.
Back when I was born, it was common for babies to be given oxygen. I've seen some studies that the O2 had some effect as far as inducing myopia was concerned. I was a -4 at age 5, and I had gotten O2 treatment.

Who comes up with this junk? Is it because the governement keeps giving out grant money if someone can come up with a nutty idea to spend it on. Has it occurred to anyone that if UV and other rays really caused catracts eye doctors, especially those that add UV (seems to be only on Rx's from doctors that own a dispensary put this on thier Rx's including those for reading glasses) would be insisting that emetropes get UV treated glasses (or do they want to keep the catract market open only for emetropes?
