CLO, I may be wrong, and if I am I am sure someone will correct me, but I don't think you will find a silver AR.
Green, blue, and once upon a time gold yes, but silver no.
You may see a silver flash which is sort of a cross between an AR and a mirror.
I just saw one on a new Rudy Project photochromic - clear and was very cool looking.

Someone might be using a flash silver on a clear or lightly tinted lens. Not a good combination as it creates more reflections.

Sounds like silver flash on a clear lense. I've done this a few times on trans. lenses, really neat to see the flash mirror pop when the photochromics start activating.

IMO...all of the above posters are right.....

What you are describing is not a stand-alone AR coat but perhaps a mirror front with a backside AR., or a mirror on a AR lens. Ask your lab if they can source this for you.

Not so fast, my friends. There is a white AR from Japan that the OP may be referring to, but most here in the states don't like the look because it still "looks" normal, even though the surface glare is much reduced.

Oh, another possibility is a matte silver mirror. I've seen a couple on planos but no idea if there is a lab that can do it Rx.

There is a white (no reflective color) AR with super hydrophobic properties available. Do the US Optiboarder's have the same opinion as gunner05? The % of AR sales in the US is low compared to Europe and Asia. Is price the only reason for low penetration in the US or is the reflective color also a major issue for low penetration?

i have only come across a few people with complaints about the color. price is a BIG issue, however the complaints are mostly about how difficult AR is to clean, even with a hydro coating if you tried to clean the lenses with your shirt (like most people do, even though they are told not to do that) they have a film over them that can only be cleaned with lens cleaner. And since were a country thats always on the go and can be a little prissy about things that "take to long to clean" AR doesn't sell to well.
