    Rx compensator

    A few years ago someone gave me an Rx compensator program or pointed me in the direction to get one, and for the life of me I cant remember where I got it. The lab that I'm working at has been around for over 40 years and have never really grown and I'm in the process of growing the lab beyond what they've ever seen (# of jobs and quality). One thing I would like to get back into is producing high wrap jobs. Does anyone know where or how I can get the Rx compensator?

    Great site to study. A must to bookmark imo...

    Daryl Meister made this site if I'm not mistaken. Can't vouch for how well compensator's work as we use a tracer. But "In Daryl I Trust."

    What Fester said if your LMS doesn't already have the capability.

    I always find it interesting to plug an Rx into the KBCo calculator, Darryl's calculator, our LMS, and Shamir's compensation program and see what the differences are.

    As a matter of curiosity, could you post a result of doing that?

    It will have to wait until Monday, as this weekend is my wife's college graduation (double major, history and anthropology), and we have a lot of family in town. Kick me on Monday to remind me.

    Base Rx Info:
    Polycarbonate SV
    -2.00 -1.00 x090
    -2.00 -1.00 x180
    PD=33/33
    OC=15
    Frame = A-60 B-30 ED-63 DBL-18 (Arbitrary made up frame measurements, similar to generic wrap frame)
    = Panto - 12 Face Form - 20
    = Vertex Measured/Fitted = 13/13

    Results:

    KBCo Wrap Compensator (.125)
    -1.75 -1.00 x081 .37^BI .25^BU
    -1.75 -0.87 x171 .37^BI .25^BU

    Darryl's Compensator (.01) (Darryl's compensator does not allow for the input of frame or POW measurements, thus no prism is given. Darryl does state that the compensator is for educational purposes only)
    -1.79 -0.78 X079
    -1.67 -1.09 X171

    My LMS (.125)
    -1.87 -0.87 x081 .25^BI
    -1.75 -1.00 x174 .24^BI

    Shamir Autograph II Attitude SV (.01)
    -1.80 -0.90 x080 .22^BI PD=32.9 OC=14.3
    -1.77 -0.99 x171 .21^BI PD=32.9 OC=14.3

    Any questions?
