Big Smile Just sold a $14,000 frame!

My wife just sold a Maybach frame with 1.5 carats of diamonds on it for RX and a plano to go; total $16,988.

I have only had the frame less than one week!

    Made our day and week!

Hope you got cash in advance!

Tell patient not to go to New Orleans, Atlanta, Jackson, or Detroit, he'll be shot for the frames.

Also, what kind of lenses did you use that you got 2,988.00 for? Were they ground from diamond also?

I never actually did this but years ago Tura used to have some frames in this price range and higher. The deal with them is they had a rhinestone version which cost around $125.00 that they would send you to show the patient and get the patient to make up her mind and hopefully put money down on.
Now I had a jeweler friend who told me that if I ever sold one, I could bring the rhinestone version to him and he would replace the diamonds for $500.00. Since these frames retailed for around $25,000, I could clear a very nice profit and the job wouldn't exactly be counterfit.

I think Tura had one at one time that our cost would have been over $100K.

Who are you to judge them? You have to understand wealthy people and why they do certain things in life; this is not about buying excessive glasses, this is about them enjoying the money they have! They actually enjoy spending money in our store; must be my sunny personality.

They just bought 2 plano's to go as gifts for $2,450 each! They just gave a mini van to the chef at the rest. they eat at frequently. They have a $50,000,000 plane and are in their mid 70's, what else are they going to do with it?

I just checked and they have spent $59,000 YTD and we just started ordering the custom pieces for them.

I slept very well last night and was planning my next $15,000 frame to design for them.

Bow to the the diamond pieces and they will kiss you back!!!

THe plano was $2,250 + tax + RX lenses for diamond piece = $3k.

Thanks, I enjoy being different. I sold a solid gold piece yesterday for $4,300 and I slept like a baby. The lady who purchased them goes to 12+ black tie affairs per year and these are her dress eyewear. Her husband was there and wanted her to get diamonds on them, but she had that last time and will wait to see if she wants us to add them later.

By the way, most times we sell super luxury pieces the clients never even asks what they cost!

    Happy Mothers Day to all!

How about posting a pic of this frame. I'd be interested in what a $14k frame looks like ;)

You know I think this is pretty great. There have been a couple of snarky comments in this thread that I do not think are right.

This can be a tough profession to be in. When you take pride and enjoyment in this industry, I think that is great.

If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it.

I'd also love to see a pic, when you get them back. That's the American dream: work hard, earn money, spend it on whatever you want. They've got to spend the money now. I'm sure their children are lined up to receive inheritance, but they'll just be taxed on it. I think it's awesome they can help support your shop. They're living like no one else, the Dave Ramsey way!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

ID:	7752This is a stock piece and she wanted it with yellow gold, so it has to be made and she needs 125mm temples.
There are 141 VS1 diamonds color G or better for a total weight of 1.46 carats.

It is amazing and reeks of class!

I just ordered a few so I have a nice selection of them to offer.:drop::drop:
