Finally bought an Essilor patternless edger, used. In need of help!! Where to begin?
I'm sooo excited! I just purchaced an Essilor patternless edger but after years of cutting my own patterns and cutting on a 30 year old edger, I am having tons of trouble understanding how this works. Does anyone have any advice on how to procede from here? I'm dying to start cutting but dont want to play with the new set up. Help!!!

I'm embaressed to say, now at home I can not recall exactly. Something to the effect of the E7. Tomorrow I will re post with more exacting information. Thank you for your response, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

They didn't offer training? Or did you buy it used?

Do you have a tracer for the edger? If it's the National Optronics 7E, it doesn't have a built in one.....
Also, if it is the 7E, we've got two of them here, so I should have the instruction/maintanence book I can give you.
Lastly, call VSI (www.patternless.com) as they can almost always help with edger questions and training.
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.
