In about 30 yrs of frame buying; it's proven to be true that it is best to dispense "quality" frames, as well as lenses. Quality frames are distributed(generally) by company's who employ quality reps, have quality customer service and in general have their act together. they have tremendous investments in inventory, marketing and research and development, and we can have great confidence in knowing that they share in our desire to stand behind what we/they sell. Silhouette, Tura, Marchon, Rodenstock, Safilo, Luxottica, and Logo are excellent examples of quality...

I look for and carry lines not normally found in the local and national chains. I want a rep who will work with me until we find the right "mix" of styles that work for my customers and me.

The only concideration should be it's potential for re-sale! This assumes at least minimal quality.

    Thumbs up Good question

Frame companies have to be flexible in their return policy. Products have to be in vogue. Products have to be of good quality and easy to adjust. The price has to be competitive in the market and the sales reps must be knowledgeable and willing to work with our inventory needs.

Quality, selection, support, rep knowledge, product suitability for market are just a few things a frame line should provide to make your long term investment worthwhile. When you find this combination of attributes, commit your business to this vendor with substantial inventory.
