Background:
Mr. Hanlin has been in the optical field since 1989. Since July 2002, Pete has been employed by Essilor of America as Development Manager. Immediately prior to this position, he was employed as Practice Manager of The EyeSite of Tallahassee (a private group Optometric practice located in Tallahassee, FL). His prior experience includes management of single and multiple optical lab facilities, management of optical dispensing staff, and of course ophthalmic dispensing. Pete has been an ABO/NCLE approved speaker since 1998, and has presented continuing education hours for several state and national opticianry associations.
Credentials:
Mr. Hanlin is currently NCLE, ABOC, and ABO-AC certified by the ABO/NCLE. In addition, he has been designated an ABO Master (ABOM) since 1995 and is a Licensed Dispensing Optician in Florida. His ABOM thesis "Refractive and Geometric Concerns in the Correction of Myopia" was awarded the Eric P. Muth Award in 1995. Pete is a member of the OAA, NAO, and Professional Opticians of Florida. Pete holds a B.A. degree from Lee University (Cleveland, TN).
