JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for handling billing processes for Healthy Vision Institute Medical patients as well as Healthy Vision Optical patient’s account posting. The Cash Receipts responsibilities include payment and refund posting, exception processing, NSF reversals, transaction reversals, sending daily logs, filing, and assisting with special projects. Significant collaboration is required with company collection specialists and insurance verifications for accounts receivable management.



RESPONSIBILITIES


· Research and process routine daily batch reports
· Work to resolve billing issues which originate in other departments
· Update logs, spreadsheets, other data entry for balancing cash receipts
· Demonstration of ability to use good judgment and logical reasoning
· Posting payments and refunds from a daily log as instructed
· Maintain and send Daily Logs
· Processing NSF reversals and notice of changes from bank reports
· Research and process exceptions
· Review and work error logs and report to collections staff
· Other Projects/Duties as assigned or business needs


QUALIFICATIONS

●High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree highly preferred
●MS Office experience –Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
●Healthcare experience in cash posting required
●Individual must be very detail oriented with strong accuracy
●Knowledge of Medicare and CMS guidelines a plus
●Must be able to work as a member of a team, and individually

●Knowledge of Accounting concepts and month end closing preferred
