HIPAA Violations

Well, in the years that hipaa has been around, we've waisted a lot of paper preparing and training people on the joys of hipaa.

This might not be related but I thought I would offer it up. I just learned that Sears Optical is obligated to show each and every customer that has there glasses made in there Thailand lab that they must show the customer the label that accompanies those glasses.I was told they said it was federal law. I know a number of people there and they said no one does that. I don't know if it's related to hip a or not.

This is true. It was initiated by the Thailand Visitors Bureau through the U.S. State Dept. It’s to promote their new ad slogan…”Come to Thailand! Show us your glasses!”


This replaces their previous, disastrous promotion; “Come to Thailand! Chew gum and be executed!”
