I have a relative who works for Lens Smashers. When Dallas gets ice on the roads things simply shut down. It normally is just a day at a time, so no big deal. This year some brainiac at LC decided that employees who did not go to work because of ice would get paid but managers who did not would not get paid. Am I over-reacting, or is that just about the worst form of upper-management possible? Who in their right mind would actually WANT to work for a company that thrives on demotivation?

It is odd, since managers are usually on salary. The fact that they closed at all is amazing to me, unless the entire mall was closed. If the mall was closed and no one could get in the building to work, then I'd seek the advice of counsel or the state employment commission.
