More schadenfreude for non-VSP providers and more angst for me

Well, guess what the newest machination is?

If you sell 25% of your VSP patients VSP/Marchon/Altair frames, then you get top billing on the "find a provider" link on their website.

Yes, if you merely are a regular doctor, not a used car salesman, you are now a second-class provider.

Note to the unenslaved: VSP tracks what frames you are using. Then, they must compare the total number of VSP spectacle claims filed to your units sold of VSP/Marchon/Altair. If your numbers aren't right...well, you sit in the back of the bus.

I suppose I could just tell all my VSP patients that they're only allowed to get VSP frames. That would help my numbers.

Here you thought you owned your own office! Pretty soon they'll be telling you what to charge. Oh wait, they already do that. Well then they're going to tell you how much you can make! No, they do that already too. Maybe they'll tell you what services you should perform on each patient to qualify as an exam! Oh Crud they already do that too.

Hmm, so does working for VSP come with good health benefits and a great 401K?

Yeah, KCount, but I still get to wear whatever color tie I want to.

    It hurts. I deserve it.

I guess I'm on the last page, as I carry zero Marchon or Altair frames.

They aren't going to like that I have hardly any Marchon frames in the office. I put in an order with the rep over 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive them because of their new system and it will take another 5 business days for those to go out. After Coach goes bye bye (which I'm trying to sell off) we'll only carry Nike.

Pretty soon VSP will start telling me when I can take a bathroom break.

Maybe all the VSP providers should ban together and stop scheduling thier patients for a while....oh wait I bet they make up 50% of your book...damn! Well I guess maybe I would set up a display of VSP frames and tell them " these are your choices, let me know when you find one you like" . LOL
