There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.
Thanks, but I'm specifically requesting info on the essilor product.
Both of those are Essilor products. With Essilor's aquisition of 50% of Shamir, they are using Shamir's R&D on the Attitude design lenses to release their own under the Essilor label.
Wrap compensations just aren't that difficult to do, and don't even require Digital Surfacing (although they will be more accurate that way). You can find a wrap calculator on KBCo's website or an even better one here: http://www.opticampus.com/tools/tilt.php and do it yourself. Also most LMS (Lab Management Software) programs have a function to compensate for wrap frames. About the only advantage to getting a "brand" wrap compensated lens is the potential to include vertex distance in the compensation (which makes such as small difference as to be negligible in most cases, except for that rare hyper-sensitive patient).

thank you for the info.
