I was looking the new regulations for optician delegation. What a joke, you need to meet patient, help out patient, ask for permission from patient then delegate the task and mark it the patient file. In less time i can just take care of the patient myself.

Yet when you order glasses online the optician never sees the patient.

How can the college of opticians justify this?

Why is it ok online but not in an optical store?


( i think we should throw out all the rules if they only apply to some and not others or even better in force the rules to all who sell glasses)

Unfortunately.....you are controlled and regulated in your actions.

Your questions are the same in all optician's minds in other provinces.

Have you had to submit to a criminal record check, request for passport photos, in order to reapply for licensing.... like friends in Manitoba are?
