Hello,
I will be opening a optical boutique shortly and was wondering which was the best auto-lensometer to buy. Need one because of ease of teaching other employees to use it. Thank you.

The only auto-lensometer I've ever used was a Humphries, and it did the job pretty well (even on PALs).
I would add, however, that an employee who can't be taught how to use a manual lensometer is probably not worth having.

DITTO....an auto lensometer is only as good as the person using it! But, if I had to have one, and I do, it would be a Humphery.
I've used alot of different ones (including the humphries) and for ease of use and the best one I have ever used is the Reichert Lenschek .... it has differnt settings, at a touch of the button for PAL's,and bi-focals and sv.. as well as contacts. Measures in either .25's or 12ths.. in plus cylinder or minus ... and the best thing?.. it looks just like a regular lensometer has the bar and it is easy to line up the frame and has a display screen that has a target and when you hit the OC's the screen lights up...
Oh it it has a check with "prism" or without as well...
By far the easiest I ever used and almost boo-boo proof.. and it isn't any more expensive then a regular lensometer :-)
NO I do not work for Reichert BUT I do have two of them in my lab :-) as well as a couple of Marco's
