The doc here is looking into getting us a new lensometer and is considering the "optisource axis 221" lensometer. I was wondering if anyone here has used one and has feedback about it one way or another.
thanks!

Life is too important to take seriously.
WALDO!
It looks like they have not sold the first one yet and there are no pictures to be found. However the company is now Essilor owned so they should have decent instruments even if this one comes from China.
B&L Model 70 would be a better instrument.
Or Topcon LM-8E. I love my Model 70 but the Topcon is, IMO, set up better for right-handed people. It's pretty much reverse of the 70.
My observation is that a good used AO 12603 or a B&L or Reichert Model 70 is a better instrument than almost any instrument made or imported today. The only exception may be the CSO copy of the Vertometer. I only repair them. I am not an optician.
