There is no CE standard for lens thickness.

There is no specific minimum thickness required in CE standard.
Lower cost lenses are typically crafted with 1.2mm+ lens center thickness.
Below 1.2mm thickness (down to approx. 0.65mm) is available, but is mostly used for higher priced eyeglasses.
?? Huh ? Surely it is down to material. A decent V-value with a decent rigidity will allow a much thinner centre substance than a flexi-glass lens ! So...lets have a nice GLASS lens rather than a crappy polycarb one, eh !
