    selling aids, for add-ons

i am trying to build a "demonstrator kit" to aid in selling lens options. does anyone know of anything that already exists/ or is marketed?

    my ideas so far:
    -6.00 in CR-39
    -6.00 in 1.67
    -6.00 in A/R 1.67
    various tints.
    scratch coating demo
    a Transitions demonstrator.
    polarized demonstrator
    a sample FT28, next to a PAL.

does anyone else have any ideas? I'd like to get this in 1 handy display that would fit on a small shelf, and my optician can go through options systematically. thanks in advance!

I'm in the process of making lorgnettes (bought from an optiboarder) with similar samples that will go on a riser.

I would add Drivewear to your list, the company samples are terrible, a lorgnette with a plano drivewears (supplied by your lab) would be much better.

I would not separate the 1.67 and AR. You don't want to let people chose to have one without the other. I have found that the AR demonstrator with the center circle is one of the best. all your other ideas are great. If you do a lot of sunglasses you may want to have some mirrors also.

We have all of them, most are available through your optical lab (Essilor, HOYA etc...), the Polarized demostrator we have says NuPolar on it, but I don't recall how we got that one.

Perhaps add one of those Wave front lens demonstrators. We have one (Hoya ID) that has the checkered background that shows the edge distortions of an ID and a "standard" progressive.

Those are great, our pts really respond to ours.

yeah, this leads in to bundling and always including the A/R with 1.67. However I meant for the purpose of demonstrating A/R it would be good to show a -6.00 1.67 w/o A/R right next to one with A/R. The higher index really gives off alot of reflections w/o the A/R.

Our local lab sent us three lenses, one in CR39, one in poly and the other a 1.67 HI all the same script and they were cut in half to show the difference better. I loved those. Any demo items I ever had were supplied by the lab, they have lots of stuff available usually.
