DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer & Application Integrator. This position will be a senior member of the System Integration/SW team. This team is responsible for developing new and enhanced system integration products, designing and implementing solutions based on specific customer project requirements. This team also responsible for software documentation, testing new products, implementation and installation. As the Sr. System integration, you will evaluate, assess and select tactical solutions to integration issues. Strong leadership communication and problem solving skills are a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• SW product development and product enhancements include:
- Supporting System Integration SW development for new and enhanced products.
- Supporting SW requirements and architecture development for System Integration products.
- Supporting SW unit and integration testing activities for System Integration product development.
- Performing SW development projects in compliance with the Quality System Requirements, and ISO Quality System Standards, with focus on design control and configuration management.
- Write the technical documents relating to the product.
- Contributing to design review and code review as required.
- Contribute to the improvement of methods and tools regarding New Product Development.
- Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications.
- Software support and System integration include:
- Defining requirements for custom design projects.
- Perform system development, installation and configuration
- Coordinate project plans for development; develop proposals and delivery tasks/issues
- Develop, install, and configure systems and install software/hardware as necessary
- Train the customer and technical support team.
- Ensure that the performance indicators are implemented for the pilot.
- Supporting the completion and maintenance customer system.
- Provide support as a technical expert on request from customer.
- Analyze and solve the technical problems relating to products
- Leading resolution for field issues
- Lead Design Control and Configuration Management.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education / experience.
- Strong object-oriented design and development skills in C/C++, C#, VB.NET
- Experience using business process automation and integration technologies.
- System integration and deployment experience.
- Proficiency in structured document interchange and processing using XML, XSLT, and related standards/technologies.
- Experience with data access APIs and applying object-relational mapping techniques and tools to integrate relational data into services and applications.
- Proficiency in core security concepts including identity, roles, groups, authentication, authorization, and auditing.
- Experience with software engineering process controls and tools including version control.
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management).
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage software interfaces and other inter-system dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing).
- Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.
- Extensive experience with Prescription Optical Lab management system or other Optical Software a plus
- Must have the ability to work in an on-call capacity
