    PAL +4.50 add

Wasn't sure if this was better posted in the Progressive forum, but oh well. Does anyone know of a PAL that comes in a 4.50 add? And if you do, where I can get it? Called three labs today and all said there was no such thing.

    Thanks!

Looking at TheLensGuru.com I did not find any above a 4.00. I am unsure if any of the freeform have the software available to make design modifications for that add.

Thanks. I talked to Hoya about an ID, if something could be done there and it was a no-go.

This has been discussed before. There is no way an progressive with that high and add can either be produced or worn. The working distance is too short, there will be excessive convergence, and the add would be barely visible and very distorted.

Try a D-28 or D-35 instead. Higher adds are made by X-cel and Vision-ease.

Thanks. Once I finally got the doc and the patient to listen to "can't be done," going with a FT28.
