    Soflens 66 Toric

I was told by my optometrist yesterday that this lens needs to be inserted into the eye with the fitting mires (not sure exactly what those 3 cuts are called) at the 6:00 position as this lens does not rotate in the eye like every other toric lens I'm aware of. She was obviously angry at me because she had to remove it and insert it 'the right way'. I was surprised to hear this. True?

We've used that lens for years the only time you must insert the lens with the hash marks at 6:00 is when the lid is too tight to rotate it. Rarely does this happen. I believe this lens is prism ballasted.

The lens does not need to be inserted that way. However, by doing so, you are that much closer to stabilization.

The Soflens 66 toric is outdated anyways. Better off using the Purevision, or the soon to arrive Purevision 2 Toric...

Yeah, well you get the idea in general then - I think she's clueless.
