    Wave Vintage Lenses

    Hello.

I need glass 46-50mm round tinted plano beveled safety lenses to put in vintage eyeglass and goggle frames.
AO, Willson, Kings, Welsh and the like.

I could learn to make them. I know nothing about lens crafting nor do I have the equipment. I am considering this if all other options fail.

I could buy them from a source. Occasionally we find them but not many nor with any consistency. When we do find them the price is always great. Need more.

I could hire the job out. Haven't found the right place at any price that fits our budget.

This seems like such a simple desire but difficult to actualize.

Any help or direction would be most welcome. You guys are the experts. I beseech your advice with gratitude.

    Thank you.

    Gary

Depending on how many you require, your best source would be a local dispensing optician. The wholesale suppliers won't sell to you unless you're a "reseller" of these products.

    Good luck.

Gary you'll want to speak with Mike Aurelius (user name MikeAurelius) at Aura Visual Concepts, Inc. Best glass-only lab in the country (IMO).
