    Blue Jumper Pupilometer check

Just pulled a never been used pupilometer from Hoya out of the back, tho't to put in use. But......how to be sure it is accurate. I read to set on say 40 and use ruler to verify 80 between the wires in the eyepiece right? Neither are checking right.
HOw to slide the adjusting slides , out /in what?

Any help out there in the Opti world?

It has been so slow this week, thank goodness we have the S.F. Giants to watch!!

Dont'start by adjusting a brand new never used optical instrument. Use a ruler to check it, and probably find out it works perfectly.

Rulers dont work. You're not interested in a binocular pd, rather an accurate monocular pd taken at a VD between 12 & 15mm

Maybe I did not say it right...............measure points on a ruler which is as accurate as you can go.

Chris, I think one should use a *verified* progressive protratctor/layout chart, with the pupilometer centered over the middle.

VD works out to be just about right.

All very good ideas but.......... Since I know what my PD is, I would just have someone take it with that pupilometer.
