    high definition sunlenses

I had a customer come in asking about high definition sunglasses. He claims his neighbor has lenses that were sold as high def. I don't know if it was in reference to the lens design or the tint but he thought they seemed much sharper than his grey c polaroid lenses. Has anyone heard of an opthalmic sun lens that is labeled as "high Def."

They were probably a brown polarized lens. Maybe Serengeti?

    Several different options.

    Probably the color http://www.seen-on-tv.ws/mail-order/hd-vision.html

It's got to be better if it says HD.

Reminds me of the Far Side cartoon where some antelope are standing around, each with TURBO written on his side. One cheetah advises another: "Forget these guys."

ECCA doesn't get Trivex in polarized, and their premium polarized lenses aren't advertised as HD. That's not to say that a sales person didn't label it as HD.

I've had this request before as well. We sell Polarized IZon (HD) lenses here. But the patient was referring to the "as seen on TV" sunglasses.

And with those Hi-Def lenses you can look right at the sun without damage as the actors do in the commercials!!:hammer::hammer:

We do or at least we used to sell them at Wal-mart though not in the Vision Center. I was curious so I opened a box. They have a brown tint on the top and a yellow tint on the bottom. They are not polarized. They are very odd but I think you would get better vision with brown or copper polarized.

Every now and then, I still get someone asking for "Blue Blockers." Where's the eye-rolling smiley when you need it?

Oakley's POP have HD on them, Lord knows what they are actually advertising there...I pulled it off my floor since I couldn't explain it with any amount of intelligence.

A man went to an eye specialist to get his eyes tested and asked, "Doctor, will I be able to read after wearing glasses?"
"Yes, of course," said the doctor, "why not!"
"Oh! How nice it would be," said the patient with joy, "I have been illiterate for so long."

That's not as bad as the ShamWow guy, selling the Magic Chop (or whatever it's called) saying "you're gonna love my nuts." That guy looks like he's got the same venereal disease as Paris Hilton. X-P

Lol. The "Slap Chop." I had one similar like 20 years ago. I think it crumbled back to dust particles the first time I tried to use it, but anyway you look at it, how can you go wrong with a name like that. Try telling someone you gave your wife a "slap chop" for her birthday and they'll throw you in jail.

Lol. Awesome. You had me at "slap chop" but throw in a Breakdance: Electric boogaloo reference and I'm all in.

P.S. Did you check out the related video just two below that one called "slap my nuts?" It's just as funny.
