Prentice Rule and Total Power Worksheet

    Hey all!

I was ambitious over the weekend and made a new spreadsheet for calculating total power, both vertical and horizontal, as well as compute the amount of induced prism any decentration variance will create per eye.
Hope you find this handy! I used a distribution of power grid from one of my old ABO study guides so the math should be accurate. Please feel free to contact me if you run into any issues or have any questions.

Way to go, and thanks for sharing!!

I've got a couple documents and diagrams I made up to help training opticians that I wish I could share. I've got to find a computer with a 3.5" disk drive!! :-0
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

I've got one. Actually I've got several.
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.

Tee hee. Thanks for the offer. I'm sure there's a computer in this office old enough to have one. It's funny that they don't come with that size drive anymore. Kind of like a cassette tape player. Which my 2002 Honda has. Didn't they stop making tapes before 2002?!? Now all I listen to is talk radio or an old tape of They Might Be Giants.

I have been inspired, though, to share the tools I've created! :)
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
