"Solid" gold means 24K - I'm guessing you mean solid 12K or 14K, or 24K finish over a base metal. Gold is soft and heavy, fine for jewelry, poor for eyeglasses. However, this customer needs more show than go.
I know of no omissions.
Solid gold meaning 18Kt gold, I know there is gold filled not listed as it is different than 14 or 18 Kt. Thanks for the feedback
We carry the Lindberg and Ogani currently in solid gold- they are 14k as the others are too soft. Maybach is being released as we speak and will introduced to the US market in Vegas next week.
"Solid Gold" technically means made entirely of 24K gold. The usual material for frames is either 14K or 18K, although some have been made with 10K and 12K. Solid 14K is a lovely material to work with, I've made several custom frames with it and it was a joy doing them. As far as durability goes, my ex father-in-law has a Cambridge in solid 14K that is about 40 years old and still looks good.
Thanks for the feeback, didn't know Lindberg was still carrying the gold, not much on the site.
