looking for a "foldable" reader frame

Have a patient who brought in an ancient pair of foldable readers. Would love to find something similar....so I'm turning to the smartest Opticians in the world :) any suggestions as to where to start looking? Thanx!:D

You talking like otc readers? We used to have them at Wal-Mart in the Pharmacy. I would check with drugstores. I know I have seen them somewhere before.

Marchon had/or maybe still has a folding half eye frame which can be RX'd. Comes in silver or gold.

We have a ton of foldable frames, all old, and mostly covered in sparkles. I'll see if I can scrounge up a pic of them.

We had a patient just this week come in asking if we had these. He has some from Microvision (http://microvisionoptical.com/) and we ordered a couple more for him. I'm doing some research now to see who else carries them, another company with which we already have an account. I'll post the manufacturers I find.

We just got in some OTC's that fold...Trendies by Europa. Not too bad. Not sure of any Rx options.

Try Capri Optics, they still carry the SlimFold with all the models. They are priced in a higher bracket.

This is the info I collected from past VisionExpo West.

    http://www.visionguardeyewear.com/

from this link, click on "readers" (on the left column) and search for "folding reader" ST9927R

There is also a model LT47RXG "Lite Reader Rx" on the flyer I have. Both come with a case.
    available strength: +100 +150 +200 +250 +300 +350

The company info from their web site:

Seiko has a foldable ophthalmic frame. It comes with a custom case that is about the size of a 70mm lens blank.
