1.5 Transition lenses suitable for IC! Berlin?

Hi everybody,
I need some assistance. My RX is:
R: -2.25, -0.75CYL, AXIS 1deg
L: -2.5, -1.25CYL, AXIS 153deg

I'm about to get a new frame for myself and it would be IC! Berlin Ibrahim.h model. The seller offered to add Transitions lenses which are 1.5 (or Essilor Airwear Lens if I dont want transitions). My friend is an optometrist (unfortunately his shop doesn't work with IC Berlin) and he told me that IC Berlin frames need a 1.6 lenses at least. What do you think, will 1.5 transitions "work" in such an "open-end" frame?

My question is NOT optical (both type of lenses will suit my optical needs). The question is mechanical/consumer... which lens will "look" better, will have less chance to brake, etc....
