I've been listening to foundation on my mp3 pplayer in the lab the last few days...

Ha! I'm listening to it on mp3 as well, while I ride the metro on my way to work.

The Dune movie (the one with Kyle Mclachlan?) was an absolute JOKE. The mini-series on SciFi was far better imo.

What?? both were good, but the first one a joke?... it has Patrick Stewart, PATRICK STEWART!!!!!!!!

Orson Scott Cards Homeward Bound Series is worth a read too.

That was an ok series, but it's one I would only read once, I don't think I'd make it through the series a second time. (and that tends to be my definition of a good book - that I feel like I could read it again.)

Star Trek the Next Generation got me started on Star Trek and they had some really good episodes but it has to be my least favorite of the series. Maybe it didn't age well and I just think a lot of the stories are a bit cornballish now and would rather watch an episode of DS9.

Most SciFi shows don't truely age well IMHO, the special effects always seem terribly dated a year or two later.

Mizikal, I don't agree with that, I think The Next Generation is still a good movie even today and it has many good stories, and I don't know if I would always prefer DS9 against it.
