Visit from Earl!!

Looks like we are going to get a visit from Earl. You wouldn't know it by the present conditions, Sunny, warm, and ocean fairly calm. Right now, I am planning on rideing it out, but tomorrow will give us a better idea of what's coming. So much for a busy weekend!

Anyone up for company for a really long weekend?;)

I wish Philiadelphia were not so far away or I'd ask you to keep the light on for us!....It appears at this point that Earl is drawing a bead on Cape Cod. Just what we need to put the Kaibosh on Labor Day weekend. There goes the yacht club picnic! :(:(

Thanks for the offers!! We are just sitting tight, as it looks like it should stay just off the coast. Expecting a big storm surge, and 12 to 23 foot wave surge up and down the beach.

You could come to Frostbite Falls to get out of it's way. You'd have to camp in the back yard though. Just watch out for the moose, he likes to wake up early.

Thursday AM update. County issued mandatory evacuations this morning, and starting to see houses and stores boarding up. I did my outside prep last night, getting all outdoor furniture and anything that can become a projectile in the garage.

My origional guess was that it would have dropped to a cat 3 overnight, but it actually strengthened a bit, and is a solid cat 4.

Fingers crossed that we won't get winds higher than about 75 to 80, or we will have mass devastation.

The big stores (supermarket, CVS) in my plaza are boarding up. They are closing at noon, and they are slammed. Exit traffic is backing up as tourists get the word to leave. Anyone waiting too long, may get stuck as the bridges are expected to close sometime this evening. UPS store put up a sign, closing at 1 today, re-open Tuesday.

So far today, I have sold 1 lens (lady fell), and 2 boxes of Cl's.

Still here quite frankly, because it's my home. If I actually believed that my life was in danger, I would leave, but I don't, so I'll stay. Not trying to sound smug, but we have been thru this before and we I am sure we will be fine this time as well.
