Anyone in Ontario know the market for AR coatings Vs non-coated lenses in Ontario? With the digital PAL and SV lenses we've been seeing a steady increase in our patients here.
I believe the AR market in Ontario is around 20%. As the digitial lenses continue to evolve and penetrate the market, those numbers will continue to rise due to the fact these 'premium' lenses are always coupled with coatings when purchased. To me, that's a good thing!
I don't have the numbers with me. I was reading around 10 years ago that Canada's rate is around 40%. It is the US that is closer to 20%.
