Question/idea for steve or vBulletin developers

Is there an add-on or can one be developed that would send a pm a member if their message is quoted in a reply?

I don't know if there is an add-on like that, but I don';t like to use add-ons because of potential security issues and the difficulty they cause when upgrading.

I was hoping it could be introduced to the vb developers, it would take more server resources but would make for a much livelier community.
