We have started to offer it as our premium PAL offering. It is a 100% backside design. We have had no problems converting from other PAL designs to the Unique. One thing I like, it's available in every material under the sun....just about. I get it for less than "digitally surfaced" fixed design PAL's.
The ABE crowd will chime in that it's an Essilor subsidiary.

All brands we have tried work well and the price does not seem to impact patient satisfaction. Our stores use 3 Pech Pro, Shamir and Kodak with no preference by the clients. We order the best lens for the $ and it works for us.
The Pech Pro can be had for prices similar to traditional progressives when combined with the EZC coating. It is my way to raise margins and still offer a great lens.

I've used the lens since it first came out. No re-makes and over 300 sold. I hated to see it go to Essilor, now it is Shamir for me.
