Confused Oakley Eye jacket -Rare- need lens replacement (photos)

    Hello all,
So I have this oakley old eye jacket with red iridium lenses and one of the lens has a scratch. Do you know where I can buy replacement lens for these sunglasses?

I work for Oakley and sadly we do not make replacement lenses for that frame anymore.....

Any decent lab should be able to fabricate new lenses.

Yeah, Mr. Consumer, any lab could do it, and if you were an optical professional, you'd know that.

Karen, I didn't know you worked for Oakley.

Can we be frank? Can the Oakley culture ever become friendly to the traditional optical profession?

If I'm on hold, I get a recording about being a "dealer". I'm not a "dealer", I'm a doctor's office. It refers to us being "into" (some accounting thing) like a personal ad would ask if I'm "into" S&M. I Oakely that tone-deaf regarding professionals, or do they just not give a crap?

I'm scared to hear the answer.

DRK -- Luxottica just released their financial results for the past quarter. Sales up 13% and profits up 22%, as I recall. Largest growth is in their retail side (Sunglass Hut, Lens Crafters, etc.), which is now over 60% of their revenues. LUX is doing just fine, thank you.

    And how was YOUR quarter?

Are you connecting the dots yet?

    Be not afraid...

The majority of the people that sell Oakleys ARE dealers! Have you not seen the humongous display at Dick's Sporting Goods? Even if you're talking ophthalmics, you can't expect them to change their stripes in mid-game.

    If you carry Oakley...yeah, you're a dealer!

Well, I don't carry Oakley, but I have a dusty old account that I apparently can't use.

Oakley's good. I hate them for that. We could have been good for each other, if it wouldn't have been for this dammed war. Of all the optical joints , in all the towns, in all the world, she had to walk into mine...

I don't care about the phone tree... I hate the broken promises, the impossible warranty policy (we just told people Oakley's had no warranty to make it easier), the fact that I saw my sales rep about once every 2 years and he lived less than a mile from my office, and the ATTITUDE. I might have well been dirt... actuallly, I think dirt would have been a step up.

Replacement lense for Oakely's at thesunglassfix.com

Hi, The Sunglass Fix makes replacement lenses for most the Eye Jackets (and other oakley sunglass frames).
You can do a search on their site www.thesunglassfix.com for eye jacket and you'll see three models.

I think you may have either the new eye jackets (click here) or the original eye jackets (click here)
    Hope that helps, Craig
