    Girl Scout Cookies!!!!!!!

One of my co-workers has a grandaughter, so naturally, the cookie sheet made its way around the office a month or so ago. Today the cookies arrived (to no small amount of rejoicing throughout the land)...

So, I wonder- which cookie is the OptiBoard favorite...

I think these might actually go under different names in each part of the country. My favorite is the chocolate/coconut thingy. Which one is that?

Samoas- Tender vanilla cookies, covered with caramel on top and bottom, rolled in toasted coconut and striped with a rich, cocoa coating.

Sound familiar? (And there are two boxes sitting under my desk which I will share with NO ONE!)
    :D

I realize this poll is really ludicrous, because it is so blatantly obvious that Samoas are the best (can you tell which one I voted for?)!!!
    ;)

We have to be able to vote for more than one type! My husband came home with at least two each of Ole Ole's, Thin Mints and All About's. What I will never understand is why bother with the reduced fat stuff? He's the guy who works out for an hour and then relaxes with a sleeve of Oreos....

Yep - Samoas is the one. Definitely the best! Thanks Pete!

    I agree, Judy -

We should be able to vote for more than one!

(Samoa's ARE the best, however, but thin mints come in a close second....)

I was going to enable you to vote for more than one, but it doesn't look like you can edit that aspect of the poll once its begun.

Besides, you can't have more than one favorite! You'll just have to choose. If a divine force decreed that there would henceforth only be one type of G.S. cookie, what would it be?

So, suck it up and pick a freakin' cookie!

I am appalled! Do you mean to tell me there are cookie options that have been withheld from me simply because I live in Florida?!? This is some sort of Girl Scout conspiracy to deprive Floridians of their right to all kinds of cookies! I just bet Al Gore and Janet Reno are behind all this...

Screw the Girl Scouts (well, not literally :) )! I demand the full compliment of cookie selections for people all across these United States! If fortysomething hippies can rally together to demand Varilux lenses, I can start a rally to ensure cookie selection freedom for all Americans!

This time they've gone too far!

P.S.- I added the Peanut Butter option, happy now?

Pete...untwist your shorts!!! Do-Si-Do's and Tagalong's are both liberally laced with peanut butter. Not so liberally laced that you'll feel the need to change your party affiliation, just enough so that you know it's there.

I just thought after i read the list that there were some good GS cookies that i was missing out on.But then i got to thinking that maybe when the people who voted for the names of the cookies at GS headquarters were thrown off by the words "dimpled chad" after the vote took place. P.S. Thank's for adding the PEANUT BUTTER.:)

Tagalongs are definitely the best! Samoas are a great second; although, no one makes a mint cookie as good as Thin Mints. The question is ... what do they put in Girl Scout Cookies that makes them so good? The only store bought cookie that comes close to these in level of addiction are Peppridge Farm Cookies.

Sorry, I can't vote, until I see the shortbreads. They are by far my favorite alltime favorite.

Awwwwwwwww! I already had a torch wielding mob, though! Now I have to tell them all to go home... We were going to systematically disrupt the sale of Girl Scout cookies at all the supermarkets and malls (clever girls- if they miss you at home or work, they make sure to post sentries at all the places you have to go at least once a week).

    PS- Consider shortbread added...
    ;)

PPS- I am amazed and dismayed that Samoas are NOT the universal favorite of OptiBoarders everywhere. Surely, you must have never tried the chocolate -n- coconut epiphany that is the Samoa!

For the love of God! I had no idea that polling cookie preferences was going to be so difficult (why can't they just name the freakin cookies the same thing everywhere).

Could it be they are racially/socioeconomically profiliing their cookie names? I may have to reassemble my torch wielding mob (I can just imagine the letter I'm going to receive from the Girl Scout Council if this keeps up... Dear Mr. Hanlin, It has come to our attention that you have been plotting a coup...).
    :D

For the sake of clarity, here are the definitions of the various cookie selections-
Ole Ole - Bite-sized vanilla cookies with pecan chips, coconut and covered in powdered sugar. A fiesta of taste and fun!
Trefoils - Short, tender, delicate tasting shortbread. Guaranteed to melt in your mouth.
Do-Si-Dos - Naturally Good! Crisp'n'crunchy oatmeal cookies with creamy peanut butter filling. No artificial color. No artificial flavor.
Samoas - Tender vanilla cookies, covered with caramel on top and bottom, rolled in toasted coconut and striped with a rich, cocoa coating. Made exclusively for the Girl Scouts. (Note- Since this is the only one they claim as an "exclusive," it naturally follows that it must be the most scrumptious- so, all of you voting for anything other than this one ...) :)
All Abouts - These beautifully-designed shortbread cookies have a series of Girl Scout messages on top (awwww) and a rich fudge coating on the bottom.
Aloha Chips - A distinctive and exotic taste that only crunchy Macadamia nuts and creamy white fudge chips can deliver.
Tagalongs - Tasty cookies topped with creamy peanut butter and covered with a luscious chocolaty coating.
Thin Mints - A thin wafer covered with smooth cocoa-coating. EXTRA THIN, EXTRA CRISP! (About what I'd imagine a cannibal eating Brittany Spears would say) Made with natural peppermint.

So, there you have it! Simply look for the description of your favorite cookie and pick one. BTW, rest assured I will continue to "bump" this poll to the top until Samoas have (rightfully so) been preferred by most OptiBoard respondants!

Four of my favorite words: chocolate, peanut butter and lucious! There aren't four better words in all of the English language except maybe "Clearance Sale at TJ MAXX!"

And a few others that I can't mention in respectable company!

The Girl Scouts only got me for $9 this year (two boxes Samoas, one box Aloha Chips)... As my "stockpile" quickly begins to deplete (I was smart enough to keep them at the office, but my kids visited, and...), I'm thinking those little scalpers outside the local grocer's might get to sell me a few more boxes!

    Ours are $3.00 per box.

What do I do now Pete? I voted for Peanut Butter. But now that item is deleted. I guess I wanted to vote for tagalongs. This ballot was to confusing. Can you check to see if the chad is still in my voting card?
