Mine has also changed to active, with a expiration date of 12/2013 :)
mine still says Pending Exam Completion :( this is so nerve wrecking!
Mine has changed to active also. It says it expires in Dec 31 2013 and that fees of $85 are due 12/31/2013. Hoping this means I passed!! So excited and anxiously waiting to get something in the mail.

Depends on your goals. Most states require the NCLE as part of the licensing process so that is sometimes the next logical step. If not, which ever one you feel will most help you advance your career goals.Originally Posted by Strab
I called the board and yes, the certification fields have been updated with the most current information. I took and passed both exams, now its time to study for both the advanced tests. I have been out of the field for 8 years and used the open optix material for the abo and the Test Review for Contact Lens Technicians for the ncle and would recommend both as study guides. They sure helped me to pass.

I checked online for "giggles" this morning and was able to sign in and see that I show ACTIVE!! Still not believing it, will wait for paper, hope it comes soon!! A friend of mine called and was told the results could not be seen online, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up! If it's accurate I might have to jump up and down......thought for SURE I failed!! = )

Technically your friend was told the right answer, because we can't see our results online. What we can see is the status of our ABO/NCLE certification. When the certification says active and gives a renewal date, it stands to reason that we must have passed the test/s. Not necessarily! They may be inputting the info and updating alphabetically, or by location, or some other way that means you just haven't had yours updated yet. Don't give up hope. :)
I don't know about that. Back in 1986 it wasn't computerized, and it took all of 2 weeks to get the results. Florida took a bit longer, but it had the practical w/it.

Checked my status and I passed my NCLE! Was posted today!
That's my point. I know the test was national, but even presidential elections are calculated overnight. Not the one in 2000, but the rest of them. Come to think of it, that one was hung up in Florida too. WHAT IS IT WITH FLORIDA?? Plus which, I'm assuming fewer people took the NCLE than took the ABO. When I took the ABO, there were three to a table. For the NCLE, it was one to a table. It was nice. I had all the mints to myself. What do they call the equipment they use to score these things- the Lone Optiscanner?
Don't mind me. I'm just happy I passed. I totally want to see my score, though. Anyone know where they mailed the scores from on Friday- Mars?
