    Riddle

Okay, you are travelling through a forest (don't ask me why, you just are)...

Along the way, you happen upon a fork in the path. There is a sign at the fork and two trolls are leaning against the base of the sign. The sign reads:
One path leads to your destination,
one path leads to your doom.
    One troll utters only lies,
    the other only truth.

    Ask any question you wish,
    to either troll you see,
but only one will be answered,
    then eternally silent they be.

So, what one question do you ask- and which troll do you address it to? Just for fun, we'll call one troll Darris, and the other troll Steve.
    ;)

Watch the film "Labarynth" with David Bowie and you will have the answer.

I didn't realize this riddle has been on the big screen (then again, not being a big fan of David Bowie, I suppose I can understand how I would have missed it).
    ;)

Is this just a boring riddle, or has no one figured it out yet? I heard it on NPR on a road trip and it took me about 200 miles of driving to figure out...

Pete, the movie actually is quite good-kind of a fairy tale. Great for kids in the 7 to 10 year range. Unfortunately, Bowie does sing a couple of songs. The special effects are great!

I have actually heard a variation of this one with goat's instead of trolls but I don't want to give it away.
