    Thumbs up

    Darryl,

I have one question, is it Ok to make copies for my accounts? I have been holding onto my copy you sent me a few years back with a death grip, I call it ophthalmic optics distilled.

Thanks for the positive feedback, Guys. Unfortunately, this workbook has become a bit outdated over the past 10 years, but eventually I hope to update it, once I have more time.

Sure, Harry, just be sure to retain the copyright page.

Of course. Have you considered a jazzier cover?

Honestly, I haven't put much thought into this workbook for about 8 years. Eventually, I plan to create a new piece.

If you do decide to update your work you might want to touch bases with one of my neighbors here at The Overlook in Charlton, MA, Arline Rayner. She worked with Doc Tillyer and Estel Glancy at AO designing the Tillyer and Tillyer Masterpiece lenses and holds patents on the design of isokonic lenses. It seems that everyone I come in contact with these days goes back to the good old days at The AO.

I am familiar with her work; she is a very bright woman. I didn't realize that she was still alive! Please extend to her my admiration of her work.

I've actually collected much of AO's articles, technical communications, and intellectual property over the years, including most of their pieces on the AO Tillyer / Tillyer Masterpiece series and the AO Space Eikonmeter and iseikonic lens service. Dick Whitney has much of this stuff available over at Optical Heritage Museum.
